A British man has come out and claimed to be married to Goldie Harvey, the Nigerian singer and former Big Brother Africa contestant who passed away on Thursday. The Briton, Andrew Harvey, in an interview says he and Goldie got married back in December 8, 2005 at a traditional ceremony in Nigeria and two days later as a Church wedding.
Andrew released a series of wedding pictures on a facebook page titled “Memories of my Darling wife; A few pictures of my Time with Susan (Goldie) Harvey before her untimely passing”.
He also requested Kenyan rapper Prezzo to keep away from him and other Goldie’s relatives as they were still mourning. “Prezzo, please, leave our family to grieve in peace. You have caused enough hurt and pain.” Prezzo, who is said to be devastated by Goldie’s death and is said to have boarded a plane to Nigeria soon after learning of her death. Both Prezzo and Goldie have several times admitted to have been dating, and the news of Goldie having a husband comes as a shock to many.
“Goldie and Prezzo’s relationship was not a secret. Where was the hubby all this while? It doesn’t make sense unless they were separated,” one person wondered. Andrew, who currently lives in Malaysia, explained it this way: “BBA is no different than being in a movie, some actors have to live with their wives “acting” certain scenes in movies, that goes with the job. If you love each other and nothing untoward happens so what!”
